Best San Francisco Food Trucks?

Curry Up Now food truck

One of the things I’m looking forward to most about this project ahead of me is the FOOD, obvs. There are approximately 150 food trucks or street food carts in the Bay Area, and I’ve only hit about five San Francisco food trucks. That leaves a whole lot of exciting, unturned food gems ahead of me.

My goal with this site is to not only talk about the good and bad of the dates, but to review the good and bad of the food trucks I try across the nation over the next year. I’ll be keeping a running tally of “My Top Five Food Trucks” in the sidebar (along with “My Top Five Dates.” Think your date or your food truck will make it to the top of my list?

Here’s some of my current favs from San Francisco food trucks…

Mouth-on-fire Chicken Tiki Masala Burrito from Curry Up Now (I don’t have a pic, but their Deconstructed Samosa wins as my all-time current fav dish from food trucks).

A Notorious P.I.G. from Brass Nuckle (roast pork ham Cubano on a bacon waffle). “If you don’t know, now you know ____!”

belly burgers sf food truck

A Belly Burger from Big Chef Tom‘s Belly Burgers (from Food Network Star. Not gonna lie, I was a teensy bit starstruck when he served me my burger) 100% ground pork belly burger w/ pickled tomatillos, fried pepper aioli & cojita cheese!

namu kimchee fried rice street food cart

Kimchee Fried Rice with a fried egg on top from Street Food Namu!
