On my somewhat lackluster date with The Smile that Wooed TSA, I mentioned that we settled on the Smokin’ Warehouse food truck that was parked for dinner service that night at SoMa Streat Food Park in San Francisco.

Smokin’ Warehouse started in a commercial warehouse in Bayview that slow-smokes and slow-cooks barbecue meats in their “secret oven.” They now also operate a food truck and are most known for their baby back pork ribs, slow-smoked for seven hours, their 14-hour slow-cooked pulled pork, and a four-hour roasted beef brisket. They also serve burgers, hot links, wings and a number of traditional barbecue sides such as backed beans and coleslaw.

Personally, I’m a HUGE fan of barbecue and have often said my last dying meal would be a barbecue pulled pork sandwich. When we were eyeing the menu, I was mesmerized by Smokin’ Warehouse’s bacon and jalapeno mac ‘n cheese with pulled pork on top. Holy heart attack, but holy YUM. I didn’t order it because I had eaten a late lunch, but I’m getting it next time!

I went with Smokin’ Warehouse’s pulled pork mini slider with a side of baked beans and my date ordered the barbecue beef brisket “just meat” with a side of coleslaw. My pulled pork sandi was pretty tasty, but I was the biggest fan ever of the baked beans. They’re probably some of the best baked beans I’ve ever had! My date kinda “meh’d” his brisket – looks like he’s stickin to Cathead’s BBQ. But I’m definitely looking forward to heading back to Smokin’ Warehouse for their mac ‘n cheese!
